S&SHARK.

While at MRM, a marketing company in NYC 🌆, I worked as an interactive developer. I storyboarded, art directed, and animated banner ads for several clients, most prominently Verizon FiOS, although I also worked on Cigna, Zurich, IHOP, Nikon, Choice Hotels, USPS and the Army Reserves, to name a few.

I worked with copywriters, art directors, and project managers to define the concepts, then developed graphics in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Then, the ads were animated in Adobe Flash using Timeline and Actionscript. 🎞️

I started as just an animator, taking storyboards conceived by my art director colleagues, but quickly was afforded opportunities to create my own ideas for ads. 🙂‍↕️

Storyboard I concepted for a FiOS deal that's about to take off.

Some ad campaigns required rich media, with enhanced interactability. Even though Actionscript/Flash is essentially dead 💀 now, it helped me learn a lot about scripting and the basics of animating through code, so I’m grateful for having learned it.

A rich media ad for FiOS Quantum TV.
